Seems like the weather is starting to take that late fall spill that has been expected, but dreaded. While wondering where the temperate wether has gone, I decided I'd finally fulfill a meme I saw ages ago on 's journal page.




Why did you join this site?
Good lord, it seems like such a long time ago. I joined up while I was in college. I want to say a classmate had mentioned something about it. I uploaded 2-3 drawings I think and then never did anything till the next year when I uploaded most of my portfolio. Don't know why I haven't put up the Improv posters, but I am digressing.

For the most part I was attracted to the idea of artists learning and sharing with other artists. Community is such a great experience, why miss out?

What does your user name have to do with you? Is it a combination of your favorite things, or a character of yours?
Galf Mizal was a character I created during high school. The name was derived from two characters from one of my favorite video games of all time, Ogre Battle. Galf was a demon. Mizal was an angel fallen from the heavens, trying to find her way back. Somehow the dichotomy of the two characters seeded the idea for a DnD character that only grew from there, and was at one point going to be the focus of a comic of mine.


What is your current icon of?
It's a self portrait adorned with my classic look of shock and/or amazement.

How many watchers do you have and how many people are you currently watching?
I watch 92 people, while 51 people watch me. Just another dude on the internet.

Do you have more than one account?
Nope. At least not on deviant art. I have one on furaffinity and that's about it.

What deviant do you admire because of their personality?
A tough call. Wether he knows it or not, I admire because of his outspokenness and sarcastic wit. On the other hand Is a tremendous amount of fun. Either way, they're both cool people in my book.

I was a contestent in the real for at least one round, but nothing really substantial.

That's a difficult question, I'd have to say the one I enjoy the most that I discovered recently is This piece by Sandara.

What are the things you wish you could draw better?
My goal is to always improve in someway shape or form.

Nope. It's just not a comfort I need to invest in.

How many hours a day do you spend on DA?
30 minutes to 2 hours depending.

Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?
Moderate overall, but quite efficient at the hunt and peck method.

What is the most annoying thing people ask you?
I honesty can't remember being asked any questions. I get a few statements every once in a while, but no questions.

What is the most annoying comment you get?
I would say if i were something critical without being constructive, but I haven't received comments like that either.

What inspires you?
Fine art, music, people, books, video games, political though, geography, sometimes random thoughts colliding in my brain.

Do you use any traditional media?
I quite enjoy watercolors.

Do you associate people online with their icons?
Only those I don't have a face to put to, either real or fictional.

Have you ever suggested a Daily Deviation?
Wasn't even aware I had the power to do so.

Everyone has considered leaving DA once or twice. Have you? Why?
Nope. Over the past year this has been the most inspiring environment for me to work with and through. Sometimes it's not just about comments, but feedback from people I know.
